One of my favorite flowers is the Peony. It’s really easy to grow, comes in hundreds of colors, and pretty much impossible to kill. It also divides pretty easy in August to October. I started planting a few each year and this time of year my yard is spectacular. If you keep them watered the foliage stays all year so even when not in bloom they are a nice green. There is a relatively new kind of Peony called ITOH. You definitely have to try them. It is a cross between a Tree peony which is a woody stem peony and a garden peony. So it has the Giant flowers and oranges and yellows of the Tree form but has many more stems and grows 3 times as fast. Which makes it cheaper which is nice. If you have a garden that gets below 32 degrees in the winter take a look at Peonies.
