Two 7-Figure Sales That Rank Among the Four Biggest Reported YTD Top Latest Chart

Thanksgiving arrived a bit early for the domain industry this week with two seven-figure domain sales hitting the latest chart. Those are Max.com at $1.8 million and Hurt.com at $1.5 million. Max.com is the second biggest publicly reported domain sale so far this year, trailing only the $3 million sale of Help.com made by Above.com in January. Hurt.com tied Michael Castello's $1.5 million sale of Room.com in Septermber for #3 on the YTD Top 100

As Andrew Allemann reported at  Domain Name Wire, HBO Max bought Max.com in a deal brokered by Joe Uddeme at NameExperts.com as part of their decision to rebrand with one word. The Hurt.com

sale was first reported on X.com by James Booth (DomainBooth.com) who was not involved in the sale but learned the price paid in communications with the seller, Orlando-based trial law firm NeJame Law

A pair of solid six-figure sales at Sedo kept the hit parade rolling. They banked $325,000 for AIQ.com and added another $250,000 when Senior Sales Consultant Frank Tillmanns closed a $250,000 sale of Whiskey.com

The .coms went on to sweep 15 of the 20 chart entries. Sedo booked most of those but Sol Orwell also aided the .com cause with a $25,000 sale of #13 PetScience.com, as did Dynadot with their $22,009 sale of #15 Impactive.com. DomainMarket.com's Michael Mann pitched in too with his $17,500 sale of #18 DomainSummit.com to London Domain Name Summit Founder Helmuts Meskonis. With that domain in hand, Helmut has re-christened the conference as Domain Summit and will run his 3rd annual event under that flag in August 2024. I wrote about how this deal came together in our Lowdown section earlier this week.

The non .com gTLDs collected a quartet of chart entries with two landing on the top half of the leader board - a $38,599 sale of Copilot.xyz through DAN.com and a $34,500 deal for #9 J.vip via Afternic. That left just one spot for the ccTLDs but they made it count with a whopping $82,500 sale of #5 Genie.io at Efty.com. In addition to topping our latest Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart, Genie.io is now one of the 10 biggest ccTLD sales reported year to date.
