Bid to Be Lead Sponsor of our PMC Jersey

John Berryhill and I are riding in this year’s Pan-Mass Challenge to raise funds and awareness for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Each year we ride, we create a custom domain-industry cycling jersey as our primary source of fundraising. This raises considerable funds for Dana-Farber, and it also serves as a display of domain industry companies that support our efforts.

Each year, there is one lead sponsor whose logo is adorned on the front of our jersey, and there are many other companies whose logos are featured on the back and sleeves. You can see some of our past designs here, here, and here. Over the last 10 years, there have been several lead sponsors of our jersey:

  • Embrace.com
  • XYZ
  • Uniregistry
  • Rightside

We are going to try something a bit different this year to raise as much as possible for the jersey. If your domain industry company would like to be the lead sponsor of our PMC jersey, John and I invite you to submit a donation pledge “bid” to John by Monday, April 29th. I will also be submitting a bid on behalf of Embrace.com. The highest “bid” will get to be the lead sponsor this year. The highest bidder is expected to make their donation directly to one of our PMC fundraisers within a week of being selected.

The highest bidder will be able to have some input in the jersey design process. We will work with a designer – or your design team – to create the front of the jersey around the first week in May. Once we are all happy with the front of the jersey, we will share the design and invite other companies to support the back of the jersey and sleeves like we have done in the past. For the purpose of our training rides, John and I like to use bright colors – or bright highlights to ensure good visibility.

If you would like to be the lead sponsor of our jersey this year, send your best donation “bid” to John Berryhill by the end of the day on April 29th. On April 30th, John will share who made the highest bid and we will get started on the design process. Hopefully, we can get that completed by the end of the first week of May. If you or your company already made a donation, that can be part of your bid.

As always, thanks so much for helping us support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
