Sellers get the same amount, while buyers pay the USD equivalent in their preferred currency each month.
This week, GoDaddy enabled long term payment options on Afternic domains to customers outside of the United States in their own currencies.
This isn’t as easy as it sounds.
All Afternic domain names are priced in U.S. dollars. If someone buys a domain at a buy now price, it’s easy to quote them a price in their preferred currency.
But if the customer is paying over time, the value of their currency fluctuates, while the domain seller expects to receive the same amount in USD each month.
To fix for this issue, buyers will pay whatever the USD equivalent is each month. For most currencies, this will (hopefully) mean just a slight price difference each month.
Extending long term payment plans to customers outside the U.S. should be very beneficial to Afternic sellers. Long term plans increase sell-through rates, and these plans are now being presented to many more GoDaddy customers.

Maybe I am wrong here but this is how I read it. So 55% commission months 37-60 when you add the 15-25% commission VS Escrow.com rates basically a couple of percent and licensed in every state.
I could be wrong but do they still charge the main commission of 25% if you don’t use GD dns. How lazy are domainers getting.? Your giving almost half of your life savings away in this case. It’s almost as bad as some of those NFT projects that certain domain investors and others invested in they bilked millions out of everyone a few years ago. It’s not stealing nor is it crooked it shows who they really are as people. No accoutability at all.

Escrow .com charges holding fees for this type of transaction. It’s between $25-$40 a month. For a larger transaction, Escrow .com makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t make sense if you’re collecting $100 a month from the LTO.
